Gwan Jong and Shanshi
There are certain disadvantages to gwan jong as compared to the bigger central plain of china. It is more contained and hemmed in by mountains, not as agriculturally fertile and productive. But there are also advantages - it's very defensible; harder for a massive army to reach. The people in gwanjong have closer access to certain skills and funds of knowledge that are more scarce in the central plain of China.
