The Importance of Political Engagement in Parenting

I think for parents, it's tough. The most, you know, parents are fundamentally conservative when it comes to their own kids. So one of the things I'd say to parents is check your prejudices, walk in at the public school and see what's going on. Your child is going to be exposed not just in the 8 to 180 day year, but all the time. If there are books in the house, right? You're having conversations at the dinner table. They're always talking to their kids. What's that out there? Do you like that? It's always education going on.
