Margaret Sanger's Campaign for Eugenics
Margaret Sanger started a monthly newsletter called the Women Rebel with the slogan, No God's No Masters. She wanted to create a legal challenge for the Comstock Act of 1873 regarding obscenity which made it illegal to disseminate information about contraception. In 1918, her appeal was heard and the case set the precedent that they exempted physicians from the law prohibiting the distribution of contraception.
