One student noticed that every time we use an object after the word listen, we always need the preposition to. And he told me that he was hearing this sound everywhere. He said, I can't believe that I didn't notice this before. So that ability to start to notice that sound helped him to actually acquire this sound. Another student started noticing a pattern in her own speech and now she says it correctly almost 100% of the time. Whereas in the past, she said it wrong, almost 100%of the time.
