The Responsibility of the Poet

There's always something that you're reaching for that you don't get and all writing partakes of that same dynamic. Wendell Berry says the formal integrity of poems, prepare us to appreciate other creatures,. Other structures, and that ripples out into the world. And he also says that, it brings you into a sense of the kind of harmony, or alignment of the world...that this is a marvelous thing, and deeply underappreciated.
