The meaty fungus rosita, is super efficient at creating protein from sugars and salts even more efficient than plants. In fact, when rachel and her colleagues did their analysis, eating beans and vegies worked out better for the environment than any of the old meats. But maybe these meat substitutes don't need to be meat substitutes. Tyler at meaty thinks his company's new product can and maybe should be its own thing.
