The Constitution of the United States

i always thought that from the start, our con tuation in the united states functioned as a higher moral law guiding us into the future. As it turns out, we do not. And perhaps most surprising, i always thought of abraham lincoln as the president who saved the us Constitution. In fact, however, the truth is that abraham l Lincoln did not save our constitution. He broke the constitution three separate times in three separate ways to transform it into something very new and very different.
