The Benefits of Investing Directly With a Sponsor
The fees work the same way with me that they do with Rise48 and the other sponsors. And in most situations, you're getting fees twice. You're essentially being double feed because you're being feed by the sponsor and you're being feeding by the fund of fund manager. The rate of return ends up being higher, especially if the deal outperforms. So it's a way, way better deal for the investors when they go into the fund of funds rather than into the deal directly.
