Jocosta's Speech to the Chorus
Queen Jocosta told her husband and her brother that they should be ashamed of their open bickering. Queen Oedipus explained his theory: Creon had convinced Tyresius to tell everyone that OedipUS had killed the previous king. He'd never even met Jocosta's previous husband, Lyas. And what a stupid prophecy it was, as Lyas had been murdered by foreign brigands.
