UFOologist Stanton Friedman rediscovered this 1947 case when he was tipped off that Jesse Marcel had an interesting account of the incident. He claims all photos and evidence were staged to hide the fact that it was actually an extraterrestrial spaceship that had been found. There have also been other claims of people being on the ground at the time, witnessing alien bodies from this crash,. Though Marcel has denied this. This rumor was started by the 1980 book, The Roswell Incident by Charles Burlitz and William Moore for what it's worth.
