Is There a Replication Crisis?

In a famous study, people who saw words that were to do with old age walked more slowly out of the lab than those who just saw random words. This is based on social psychologye type studies where it's like, if you prime the concept of guilt, or you've done something bad, and that will physically make you wash your hands more when you walk out of the room. The original authors of the original study got really upset about it because they couldn't replicate their results. And so now we're trying to follow up on this research in new ways.
