The Different Temperature Regimes of Dust
In spectroscopy, you are seeing the chemical fingerprint of an object. A star is generally sufficiently hot that it will break down dust into component atoms. Dust requires cooler temperatures to exist. And this is where we really have to look at things across the entire electromagnetic spectrum.
