Derek Smire was arrested in 2004 for stealing money from other people's bank accounts. He had a girlfriend who worked at a credit union and used her account numbers to move money into accounts he controlled. What happened to the eighty thousand dollars that they skimmed? The investigators didn't find it. Maybe Derek never asked for a lawyer or maybe he just wasn't guilty.
