No one was ambient before 19 ten, because that's when the term was invented by eugene boyler and popularized by freud. And before that, it just didn't seem to be idea of simultaneously being conflicted, pulled in two different directions. A te're talking about making decisions, but we're also talking about a having different emotions at the same time. I mean, sometimes people think of ambivence as a problem; i just think of it as part of human nature and even a virtue.
