How to Trade a Stock That Gets Obliterated
FreePort Macquarie was a stock that got in the beginning of the year obliterated. The debt load was enormous and it looked like they would have to be out of business. When I looked at what they were doing in comparison to what the street was clamoring, the fire in the movie theater, they were divesting assets. To me, the fundamentals of what was happening with the business did not substantiate a company that was going to zero.
