The film was made for people who have already seen one or more of the books. It's so casual about conveying the story in a way that anybody can follow it. The bones of the story are there, and i found it really engrossing. I could tell you some of the things i absolutely did not get but over all, i didn't feel lost. There's a lot of tension and build up, and then big things happen. visually, it's,. it's all so very absorbing.
