The Irish were near the bottom of that totem pole for a long time. Joe Kennedy was able to force his family into this American aristocratic family, even though they never felt like they were fully accepted because of the action. There's a part of me that looks at the Kennedys and says, why is it that so many poor people in 1968 saw Bobby Kennedy as like one of their own almost?
