The Fed's Optional Rate Hike
Wednesday is the big day, the July Fed meeting. We're expecting his comments to remain relatively hawkish. Powell will likely downplay the significance of a single data point for upcoming policy decisions. The issue for the Fed is there have been so many false starts on disinflation through the past few years. So we expect them to remain extremely cautious and lag behind the market.
