Inflation Is a Function of Expectations
The market were somewhat relieved that we didn't make a new low in sentiment by crashing below 50. Consumer expectations for inflation cooled off a bit, and i think that probably was the result of a decline in gasoline prices. If businesses expect inflation wile, they'll raise their prices in anticipation of the expectation of inflation.
