Ere - A Song About the Languages, About Our Country

The bellerus free theatre was founded 16 years ago and has ever since found itself in trouble with the lukashenko regime. Ten years ago, its co founding artistic directors had to seek political asylum in this country. Earlier this year we reported on how five embers of the company had been arrested in the wake of anti-lukashenko protests. And now it has just been announced that the whole ensemble has had to be relocated outside of bellerus because of the continuing threats to the company's safety and artistic freedom. Neither working in bellerus nor leaving it were easy.
