The Nixon Administration's Attack on Alsberg

Supreme Court ruled that it was a violation of the First Amendment to impose an order of prior restraint on a newspaper except in me most extreme circumstances. That allowed the New York Times and the Washington Post to get on with reporting these secrets. It essentially made prior restraint in the United States inherently unconstitutional under the First Amendment.
