What Happened to Essential Workers During the Pandemic?

essential workers labor movement, or whatever you want to call it, did capture the imagination of the public and some political leaders more than it had in the past. The real test is whether or not those workers will win a contract and will really solidify their gains that they can really build on. Public support for unions is not as high as it's ever been, and public lack of support for large corporations is also the lowest it's been in a few decades. But I think overall that sort of democratic spirit and that sort of militant grassroots spirit has affected the labor movement as a whole.
