The Importance of QTE in Video Games

When you're in a QTE, you are in a video game because you're pushing the letter of the button that's on your controller. In survivor it is the continuation of your mechanics now laid out for you in this glorious way. You're leveraging what you already know to be part of the systems of interface. I want more games to do that. Find a way to have the cool, incredibly choreographed action sequence where I'm still in the context of your game and not with the artifice of press this button and then this button and this button so that we can show you the cool choreographed moment.
