The yellow mustard we know today likely I'm going to guess was not a European concoction. It was in fact a concoction of the great state of New York and specifically Rochester, N.Y., in 1904. This was specifically debuted at the world's fair of that year as a pairing with the great American hotdog. More than seven million pounds of mustard are consumed every single year.
