To tune in to something means to focus on it. To back someone up means to support someone. Backing your girl friend means understanding her and listening to her. Whatever really is used when you don't know or when the information is not important, or if you don't care what the information is. It's a very useful word. So for example, you can say whatever to mean, i don't mindy,. Er, another example might be that whatever means i don't in a rude way with his child. And if the child would say, oh,oh, I don't care’s about this at londonage from erteenage, he would say
