The Politics of Kneeling

In Esther, Mordecai refuses to kneel down or pay honor to a newly appointed nobleman. The gesture of kneeling has since bled over into other things such as community leaders and social movements. And so very recently, this idea of public physical performative gestures to demonstrate wholesale alignment with an ideology is something that all of us can relate to.
