The Thermal Anti-Ice System in the New York Aircraft
Each of the two engines was equipped with a thermal anti-ice system. It works by taking bleed air from the engine and blowing that hot air out over the front of the plane. The pilots acknowledged there was ice on them when they were getting ready to take off. They tried to, you know, get behind that New York airplane to get their ice melted.
