As long as fiat is allowed to survive, it corrupts the the pricing mechanism and the market signals in every other good and service including energy. Once you have the biccoin standard, you can the preferences of the market are allowed to express themselves in a much more pure way. Until we can rid ourselves of the money printer and sort of the institution of seniorage, and all the mal investment and mis pricing that that attends it, we should be primarily focused on using as much energy as possible for this purpose.
