The Negativity Effect of Social Media
The easiest way to get the attention of a mass audience is with something bad. People actually tend to share positive things more than negative things on social media. We also have this inner effect called the pollyanna principle, which is that we have a natural tendency to try to combat this negativity. If you go on this low, bad diet, as we call it, where you curate whom you follow, what you watch, you can actually get lots of positive things.
