The UK's Public Sector Finances for January
Mortgage rates have fallen from the 6.65% highs that we saw after Liz truss's mini budget in September but there's still way above what they were a year ago. An average two year and an average five year fixed rate mortgage is still above 5%. There's also been lots of talk this week down about the UK's public finances. Self assessment tax take came in at a record 21.9 billion quid now that is the most that has been brought in since records began.
