What Has Happened to Iraqi Attitudes?
There are a number of different interpretations by Iraqis or different opinions of Iraqis of the United States. In some ways it differs by community or by sort of religious background. I think that one of the effects of the American intervention and our attempt to essentially remake Iraq, at least in the first decade, may have led to a sense of loss of Iraqi agency. That's one of the things that I probably regret most about what has happened to Iraqi attitudes.
