Energy and the Role of Energy in Society and History

Vaklav Smil is an expert on energy and human history. He wrote a book called Energy and Civilization History, which sort of kind of is dropping the mic moment where he lays it all out. And this book more than anything else really got me thinking that as long as it's anything in the physical realm, you're really just talking about energy. So I don't know. Does that do anything for you guys?
