Terry Pratchett turned out 41 Discworld books in like 30 years. For a lot of people he's a nerdy touchstone who's up there with Tolkien and you know some of those other writers it just depends on the kind of nerd or you subscribe to. He had been fully canonized I think by the time of his death.
