What Makes for a Good Story Teller?

One of the things i notice about you is your very powerful story teller. You're very good at taking a story and bringing it to life in a way that is understandable to the listener or to the reader. What makes for a good story teller? That's a rele question, because i have never thought as myself as a good storyTeller. I really do think it might a be my gifts.
