Christine: I find it interesting that she started off with poetry. Though interestingly, her poetry doesn't really fall in with modernist poetry. It's very much kind of harkening back. And for Sayers, she had originally started off with this character and she felt like no, this character is going to develop into a traditional Christian character. She wasn't going to force the character into something simply because her readers wanted her to.
