David Cameron's Disagreement With the Idea of a Referendum on Brexit

I did disagree with David Cameron on that, but it was done very amicably. And his reasons were reasons a Conservative party leader would hold and I was not the Conservative by leader. It is true that European issues were intruding more and more into the sort of domestic political debate. But we didn't have to bet the farm on an all-out referendum. People blame the EU for things that we ourselves couldn't get right as a country.
