Is Neutrality an Institutional Thing?
I think the word neutrality also has been retired for quite some time from newsroom debates. It's about who is holding power in a given moment, having the power to define that and to punish and silence other people for supposedly not being objective. The primary divide that bias versus onbias has played out one is racialized. So whiteness confers objectivity. But it's really just about power.
