What Is the Meaning of a Name?
The experimenter who tasked the mediums thus didn't know anything but the first names of the target soles. When the sitters came in to rate the dings, the experimenter did not know which of the readings was that sitter's target. So the experimenter couldn't unintentionally influence the oices that the sitters would make. This is way beyond a conventional double blind experiment.
