The Identity Crisis in Motion Design
I think there's still a growing identity crisis with motion design. To me, motion design is an umbrella term that actually sits over TV animation or VFX or feature film animation or stop motion. I was so excited at the beginning of the days that it was like you could pick up a pencil, a camera and use a photocopier. Everything was viable. There was no rule set of like what was right or what was wrong.
