Picking Yourself, Not Waiting for Someone to Pick You
Tammy Eagan: I was waiting in a certain part of my life, waiting for some broadcast television partner to pick me or something like that. And when I read that, I thought, you know, I'm going to stop. I'm just going to actually make the next steps. The picking mantra really fits in beautifully with the regime of public school and our desire to hide. So we get this great excuse, which is, well, I don't have to be on the spot. But now, if you want to sing, sing. If you want to dance, dance. You can make your own show and put it on YouTube that no one can stop you.
