Timeline and Legislation for Modernizing DOD Software Acquisition

The Defense Department's latest effort to obtain secure software kicked off a 90 day sprint this week to develop a framework and an implementation plan under the software fast track, or SWFT initiative. The Pentagon's goal with SWFT is to replace the reliance on the risk management framework and give the military services and defense agencies easier access to secure software.
