Is Palatability a Cause of Increased Intake?

Food reward is not liking, but motivation and learning. Some foods are predicted to cause more dopemine release in the brain than other so if you think about plain lentils versus petza, whole grain bread versus brownie,. why are we more motivated to eat petza than plain lentils? Why can we feel full after a meal, not wanting any more chicken and posta, yet we're prepared to eat hundreds of additional calories ice cream? A big part of the answer to that is food reward. And as kevin said, there's cross talk in the brain between regions that govern food reward and those that regulate appetite and body fatness.
