The Devil's Footprint in Stone
According to legend, the devil left a footprint in Munich's Frauenkircke. A North Carolina community has their own version of the devil's footprint in stone. In 1813, Jesse Elliott made the mistake of skipping church and riding his horse around town. The stranger then bet him that he could beat him in a race. Some say that you can still see bits of Jesse's hair on the stump of the original tree.
