The Church Is Not Just the Body of Christ
Joseph watched over Jesus' actual infant upbringing body like he protected him. Now as a father he does with his spiritual son. Just as Jesus obeyed Joseph in life when he's growing up, so Jesus will remain obedient to him even more in heavenly life. It makes me think back to our first episode of St. Joseph old and new where Joseph of the Old Testament is put over all of the household affairs.
