The Importance of Being Empathetic to Your Employees
Some employers have what's called that job abandonment policy, where if someone fails to call or fails to show up for a certain number of days, say three days, then they consider that to be a voluntary resignation. You want to give a chance of their arc-senuating circumstances before you take any kind of adverse action. Send out with the extenuating circumstances, but waiting and waiting can actually cause other issues.
