I think he was slightly told off by the surgeon for being about 20 minutes late. He waved down a police car who barely believed him. Then finally got the heart. I think everybody survived and the heart got there but it must have been quite stressful for them. We often used to use small aeroplanes hired from private airlines or charter jets. Sometimes they were jets, sometimes they were turboprops. The communication with the airports and with the organizers wasn't as good as it should be.
