Pop culture has lost its human element, says Bob Greene. The current state of the actresses and performers don't fit in with the rest of the country because they're not supposed tobe looked down on other parts of the country. One of the reasons why the new york times, c and n washton post have lost such chunks of their audiences is that they're programming for a small niche That they want everybody to join. And i think that hollywood is actually sort of behind that. They don't understand, they're behind the curve on that. But if you look at a movie like grown ups, which i think probably did great, it's both silly as it is crass
