It's Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 from Peachfish Productions. It's the gist. I'm Mike Peska. It's Saturday. It's a Saturday show. And we're going to bring you, we usually bring you one from the vault and one from the week. But you know, this week we did the gist's first ever presidential endorsement. So we're going to riff on that idea, the idea of endorsements. And 10 years ago, we did an interview with the very person who invented that fabulous phrase, retweets don't equal endorsements. Before he put that together, everyone was adrift. Do they? Don't they? And then clarity was injected. So that's a 10-year interview. And another 10-year interview is with Casper Kelly. He is celebrating, I think we should all celebrate, the 10th anniversary of Adult Swim's Too Many Cooks. I don't know if you've never seen it, avail yourself of it. It's a promo for a show set in the 90s that Adult Swim started playing at like two or three in the morning. And most, I'm going to say a lot of Adult Swim viewers at that time no longer were illegally high. Now they're illegally and they would say wait a minute this show from the 90s it seems like every show from the 90s i've ever seen your full houses your tgif block but i don't think this show ever existed exactly casper kelly came by and we had a very fun conversation about that all right here you go Hey, podcast listeners. of love to make it nice. And you've got too many cooks. Too many cooks. too many cooks.

I mean, it doesn't, is it new? I mean, there's mom, there's dad, there's a kid, there's another kid. They're doing what people on TV do, what families do. Well, there's another kid. There's grandma. I can't remember when and where Too Many Cooks aired, if it was part of the TGIF block, if it was the lead-in to She's the Sheriff. Wait, there's another kid and there's a lot of cooks. But of course, if you grew up with Too Many Cooks, you cherish the memories of, wait, what is that? A shirtless fireman? All right, here's the thing. If you haven't seen Too Many Cooks, stop the podcast now and Google it. Give yourself over to Too Many Cooks. Come back. Join us now. Thank you.

won't give away what will become apparent once you go to the YouTube page that contains Too Many Cooks. It is 11 minutes long, and they don't seem to ever get to the show. And what kind of show it is changes, and then it gets meta, and then it wraps back in on itself, and possibly cures pleurisy or promotes insanity. Unsure? If you look at it one way, Too Many Cooks is the longest TV show ever that never gets to a TV show. If you look at it another way, Too Many Cooks is the most time-efficient way to learn the history of 80s and 90s non-cable television over the last 20 years. Casper Kelly is the brain behind Too Many Cooks. He works for Adult Swim, where his main gig is producing and writing the show, Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell. Hello, Casper. Hello.

I am basking in this intro, and it's being said in your voice. This is like manna to me.

Thanks, man.
Thousands of leftist, revolutionary college students are currently assembling on campuses, fervently calling for the end of Israel while perpetuating acts of antisemitism. At the same time, a sizable number of young rightist groups on social media platforms are also propagating antisemitic remarks, while advocating for an authoritarian new world order that is notably aligned with "Christianity."
It is crucial to recall that similar protests occurred in 2020 during the George Floyd riots, which took place amid the Covid lockdowns. Additionally, there were protests related to supporting Ukraine against Russia, that could be appropriately referred to as "hate week" (George Orwell, 1984).
The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.
It is important to bear in mind that the primary objective of these orchestrated hate-filled riots from the left, as well as the social media hate propagated by far-right groups like the Groypers, is to create instability within our nation. The intention behind this destabilization is clear: to ignite a revolution. This is because, the issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.
You find yourself amid an endeavor to transition our world from a system based on objective truth, reality, and liberty, and into a realm dominated by radical subjectivism, hyperreality, and authoritarian governance.
