Is Ravel Making a Movie While You're Making a Movie?

Ravel comes to you with a script and he's like, read this. Then he films it and then you watch the movie and then you put your music in or is he making the movie while you're making a movie? Or do you make the movie music first kind of? And then he kind of sets the film tone to that, that scene to that song. So how's the process work?
