Christian theology teaches that we serve a triune God, a God in three persons. The Holy Spirit is not some less version, it is equal. He doesn't just want to make things about the Christian life nice or accessible. In Galatians 5 Paul lists what is called the fruit of the Spirit. We can actually see and experience the fruit of this changed life.
